County Hospital is St. Mary's Hospital. St. Mary's Hospital is
a not-for-profit organization and was founded in 1896 by the Sisters of Charity
of Leavenworth. What began as a small, wood-framed building with only 10 beds
has grown to the largest medical center between Denver and Salt Lake City with
over 350 beds. A high-level of medical services and compassionate care are offered
by approximately 2,000 staff and 300 active physicians. More than 700 volunteers
support the staff, donating more than 150,000 hours of service each year.
St. Mary's Hospital is fully accredited
by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, the American
Medical Association Council on Medical Education, the Colorado Medical Society,
and the American Association of Blood Banks. St. Mary's Hospital offers the
following medical services: Cancer Care, Heart and Vascular Services, Women
& Children's Services, Orthopedic Services,
Blood Donor Center, Dialysis Center, Emergency & Trauma Services, Employee
Assistance Program, Family Medicine Center, Imaging Services, Laboratory Services,
Neurodiagnostics, Occupational Medicine, Psychiatric Services, St. Mary's Life
Center, Saccomanno Research Institute, Sleep Laboratory, Surgical Services,
Respiratory Care, Therapy and Rehabilitation Services.
