Mesa County Libraries are the following 8: Clifton Branch, Collbran Branch Library, Debeque Branch Library, Fruita Branch Library, Gateway Branch Library, Orchard Mesa Branch, Palisade Branch Library, and Mesa County Public Library District. In addition to typical resources, the library provides such resources as Value Line, Morningstar, Standard & Poor's Outlook, Kiplinger Washington Letter, Ulrich's, Standard Periodical Directory, NADA Appraisal Guides, Gale Directory of Publications & Broadcast Media, Encyclopedia of Associations, Physician's Desk Reference, Chilton's Auto Repair Manuals, almanacs, and directories of all types; also resources for genealogy research, local history information; foreign language materials; government information such as Code of Federal Regulations, U.S. Code, Colorado Revised Statutes, Statistical Abstract of the United States, Occupational Outlook Handbook, Commerce Business Daily, Consumer Price Index, U.S.G.S. topographic maps, and pamphlets from the Health Department, National Park Service, and CSU Extension Office.

The Central Library has free wireless Internet access available for all of our library patrons. Patrons can check out up 40 articles at a time through the libraries. The Mesa County Library offers a variety of programs for children, teens, and adults. The Adult Reading Program offers one-to-one and small group tutoring for adults to improve reading and writing skills, build math skills, study for the GED, and study for Citizenship. Children and Adults Together (CAT) family literacy program offers Family Nights at the Library, Read With Your Child Workshops, and Beginning English Reading Classes. Parents and young children attend together to improve family literacy foundations and English skills. People who are confined to their residence because of disability or age can have reading, listening, and viewing materials delivered to their home by the homebound book van. Patrons may also order materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.
